Director, Maintenance and Safety
Location: Canada-British Columbia -Vancouver

Responsibilities
The Maintenance and Safety Director (“MSD”) will report directly to the Vice President of FlyOver Attractions (“FOA”), while working closely with other members of the FlyOver Attractions, the FlyOver Canada Vancouver and FlyOver Iceland teams, as well as the future FlyOver Las Vegas and FlyOver Canada Toronto teams.

The MSD oversees all FlyOver location based Technical Managers who report to this position. The key responsibility is existing safety and consistency of ride and facility of all FlyOver attractions. As a member of the team, the MSD helps fulfill the safety, operational and strategic goals established in the FlyOver business plan.

Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference at FOA is one of the most important aspects of this position.

Primary Responsibilities
Oversight of all location based technical managers
Establishing companywide safety and training program
Working with technical managers to ensure programs are adapted to local regulations
Providing initial safety, standards and operational training to technical managers, maintenance teams and ride operators for new sites
Management of the division wide Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Manager+
Establish a quality-based maintenance program with a focus on continuous improvement
Ensure that procedures and policies are efficiently updated and implemented, and incorporate manufacturer’s bulletins, regulatory changes and industry best practices
Provide on demand troubleshooting and repair guidance to technical teams
Establish and maintain a system for tracking training and certification across sites
Perform on-site safety, training and operations audits
Track and report on safety and training performance across sites
Stay current on attraction industry best practices

This list describes a lot of what an MSD does, but no job description can anticipate every single issue or project that could come up.  Pursuit and FlyOver Attractions might need to reduce, add or change job tasks from time to time.
Qualifications

At least 10 years’ experience working in a technical maintenance position, with at least 5 years’ experience in a maintenance management position
Experience with maintenance in a life safety environment
Experience with theme park operations and maintenance is considered an asset
Knowledge of amusement ride safety standards, such as ASTM or European standards, or experience with similar standards from the candidate’s field is considered an asset
Proven track record in electro-mechanical systems maintenance
Ability to manage both internal staff and externally contracted maintenance teams
Familiarity with audio visual, entertainment lighting and show control is an asset
Proven understanding of OH&S regulators (OSHA, WorkSafe BC, etc.), hazardous materials (WHMIS, HCS, etc.) and other OH&S regulations
Have some education in your tool belt – College, or Technical proficiency and background with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and computer systems
Experience managing a high-performing team and complex budgets and capital projects
Ability to remain calm and think critically during emergency situations
Experience working in a diverse team environment
Be organized and not scattered.
Be flexible and go with the flow -- curve balls will be coming your way.
Use your voice. Clearly communicating both verbally and in writing is a big part of this job.
Know how to use office and adobe tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and a few others will be necessary in this job.

Director, Attraction Revenue Maximization

Responsibilities:
 Manage direct report (Inventory Specialist) activities, reporting and over-block to maximize seat sales
Ensure over-block SOP’s and strategies are adhered to, clearly communicated to relevant teams and provide timely reporting
Optimize price strategies through definition and management of all rates, rate levels, stay restrictions and other tactics, congruent with demand factors and managed through all distribution channels
Update in conjunction with Sales, and track to, an annual rate requirement timeline to include admission pricing, package pricing and F&B pricing
Play a key role in determining research priorities, execution and communication of results
Manage all extranets (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) on a regular basis to maximize revenue
Play a pivotal role in Data Governance and on the Guest Data Warehouse success team
Prepare for and chair weekly revenue management meetings
Play an active role in strategic planning, marketing and sales planning and budgeting
Determine the optimal mix of business and work with DOS and sales team members to encourage strategic selection of business

Provide inventory and pricing for group sales-inclusive of Regional and Tour and Travel
Review and countersign group sales contracts
Audit and process monthly travel agent and 3rd party commissions for payment
Be a Revinate super user, understand positive and negative guest feedback for each attraction location
Must be knowledgeable of Pursuit marketing, sales, operations and contact center initiatives related to each attraction
Enforces and follows all Viad and Pursuit policies and regulations, including our ‘Always Honest’ code of conduct
Highly collaborative and maintains regular, open lines of communication with the Contact Center, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams
Completes other tasks and projects as needed to support the Pursuit Leadership Teams.

Cafe Host

Responsibilities
As a Café Host you will be impacting the guest experience in our brand-new café overlooking the North Shore Mountains and Stanley Park. You will hold the FlyOver Canada standards in Guest Experience, greet the guests in polite, friendly and welcoming manner. You will serve hot and cold beverages, sell prepackaged snacks, salads, sandwiches and other food items, explain the menu options and retail items to the guests and make recommendations. You will be responsible for ensuring the area is clean and neat at all times by following the standard operating procedures and sanitation plan.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure guest satisfaction and consistent guest experience with prompt, courteous and friendly service at all times
Explain the menu and retail options, include insightful details and product knowledge
Maintain the service area, storage area and dining area clean and neat at all times
Keep full stock level in the display areas and notify low level of product or supplies to the Food & Beverage Manager
Assist in a basic preparation of food products and prepare hot beverages including coffee drinks using espresso machine
Adhere to responsible service of alcohol and licensing requirements and standards at all times
Assist with deliveries and event set up and tear down
Follow Food Safe Procedures, Health and Safety Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including cleaning routines
Process transactions in Point of Sale system and take payments from guests
Ensure accurate processing of cash, credit and debit transactions
Communicate and liaise with other areas of operation

Qualifications
1+ year experience in food and beverage establishment and experience as barista
Consistent outstanding guest service skills and communication skills
Problem solving ability and high attention to detail
Internally motivated with a high level of energy
Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and Holidays
Be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment
Ability to lift loads of up to 30 pounds as necessary
