Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Protect the company's assets and to assist the onboard and shore side management in ensuring the safety and security of the passengers, crew, and ship.
• Observe and report 'live' surveillance while walking around the ship in both passenger and crew areas, as well as listening to any comments passengers or crew may have to offer.

FEMALE SECURITY GUARD
Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Guard is responsible for the control of entry to the ship during Gangway Operations and the
screening process as described in the Security Manual in SQM. Actual times to be detailed by ships

The Security Guard will patrol the ship during the night time hours and implement the Master’s Rules
and Regulations. He/she is under the supervision of the Watch keeping Officer while acting as a
Response Guard or while on the ship's safety rounds. The Chief Officer Safety and/or Security
Officer/Deputy Security Officer and Security Supervisor will be on call to assist him/her should an
occasion arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with company’s
Gold Anchor standards, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies.
Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various service venues and
throughout the ship.
1.In accordance with cruise line's philosophy of Anchored in 1. Excellence , each
employee conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. This consists of
physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of
guest contact and crew areas.
2. He/She shall complete the familiarization form of Chapter 2 according to the established procedures.
3. The Security Guard shall have an understanding of the Safety and Quality Management Program
including responsibilities related to the Emergency Plan and Station Bill. An excellent understanding
of the Master's Rules and Regulations and the Company’s Policy and a thorough knowledge of the
Security manual are essential for this position.
4. The Security Guards working hours should be adjusted as appropriate to the ship's routine. He/She
shall monitor the day/night security and prepare a log of activities during the night time hours for
presentation to the Security Officer. The Security Officer will produce a Night Report from this log
for presentation to prescribed ship's management.
5.The Security Guard shall be familiar with all duties regarding the safety rounds 5. and the gangway
security. (See Security Manual for specific instructions.)
6. The Security Supervisor shall, through his/her observations, preserve the safety of the vessel,
passengers, and the crew.
7. During Safety Rounds the Security Guard shall always be alert and follow the designated procedures.
He/She may be the first person to arrive at the scene of an incident or a fire, and will have to assess a
situation and act accordingly until help arrives.
8. The situation will dictate any action taken by the Security Guard. In the case of a fire alarm, the
Security Guard will respond immediately to the location of the alarm. He/She will then be
responsible for making quick decisions based on previous instructions and experience.
9. The Security Guard shall immediately inform the Duty Officer on the Bridge and any other
concerned Officer of any incident which has occurred.
10. The Security Guard shall always be alert to take emergency action with any situation. The Security
Guard shall be familiar on the use and the location of all safety related equipment as outlined on the
familiarization form of Chapter 2.
11. If an "Alpha Alpha Alpha" occurs, the Security Guard shall follow the established procedures as
described in the appendices.
12. The Security Guard is otherwise instructed to be an additional spotter around the vessel for any type
of problems, being passenger, crew or ship related. The Security Guard shall report immediately any
unusual incidents or situations. He/She shall also report if any abuse of ship's property or abuse of
Shipboard regulations takes place.
13. He/She shall be familiar with the procedures of solving passenger complaints.
14. Security Guards shall conduct frequent security inspections on the crew quarters during his/her duty
hours.
15. The Security Guards shall attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related
activities as required Perform related duties as required.

SURVEILLANCE MANAGER
Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Full responsibility of the entire Surveillance Operations of the Ship. Shall also work closely with the Captain, Staff Captain, Hotel Director, Chief Engineer and Casino Manager in maintaining the integrity of the shipboard operation.
It is the primary responsibility of the Surveillance Manager and Surveillance team to protect the company's assets, and to assist the onboard and shore side management of the company in ensuring the safety and security of passengers and crew, the strict adherence to the company's SEMS and other operating procedures, and the maximizing of company profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Real time surveillance observations where the safety and/or the security of the ship/passengers/crew are in immediate jeopardy should be reported immediately to the bridge by either the Surveillance Manager or his delegate. These verbal reports are to be followed by written reports.
- The Surveillance Manager is to observe, record, and report. Obtaining this information includes not only the monitoring of video feeds for example on board cameras but also includes 'live' surveillance while walking around the ship in both passenger and crew areas, as well as listening to any comments passengers or crew may have to offer.
- Complete audits and risk assessments of outlet stock movements and sales.
- Report non-compliance with the company's policies and procedures by officers and crew.
- Make recommendations for enhancing SEMS Procedures and the overall integrity of the ship board operation.
- Ensure timely reviews of incidents and or accidents involving both crew and passengers are recorded and reported.
- Have a good familiarity with the ship security plan and general SEMS procedures.
- Ensure all safety drills are monitored and recorded.
- Ensure all bunkering, storage, and baggage handling activities are monitored and recorded.
- Ensure that all tender operations are monitored and recorded.
- Ensure that all red zone operations are monitored and recorded.
- Ensure that during port time operations monitoring of adherence to the ship security plan is undertaken.
- Ensure that the staff is properly instructed in basic safety rules, ship's organization, and duty requirements.
- Ensure that the Surveillance staff is well briefed on their emergency duties and that the ship familiarization check List is completed.
- Ensure that the Surveillance staff is instructed in policies and procedures including fraternization and discipline related matters.
- Ensure that shift change handover documents detailing significant events of the day and any other information relevant to the operation are maintained.
- Ensure that Surveillance staff are complying with work hours and completing time sheets as per STCW requirement.
- Ensure that a daily log is maintained with details including red zone operations, tender operations, embarkation and disembarkation processes, communication to and from the bridge and any other departments, and observations that may result in more specific reports.
- Ensure that all Surveillance equipment is in good working order, checked daily and all malfunctions are reported within 24 hours of notification of failure
- Ensure that all observations that record a reportable matter are maintained on a specific incident, occurrence, or safety related tape. These tapes are to be retained indefinitely.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Requirements:
NATURE AND SCOPE
- The Surveillance Manager's role is centered on managing on-board Surveillance operations and reporting on the integrity of the Ship Board operation.
- There is no functional reporting line between the Surveillance Manager and any Ship board officer, matters relating to the Surveillance manager's personal integrity (for example Safety or Disciplinary related matters) are the responsibility of the Staff Captain. The Surveillance Manager reports to the Director of Surveillance and Security.
SECURITY OFFICER
Description:
In charge of all daily security operations on board and while in port, including training of the crew and training of all security department guards In order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
This position is critical to the safe and secure operation of the entire vessel. Incumbent must be fully capable of maintaining a flexible attitude with all security related issues.
Ensuring all aspects of the security program is strictly adhered to by his/her staff and the remainder of the crew.
The ability to effectively apply security standards in a method that has little to no effect on the passengers aboard the vessel.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Staff Captain.
- He/She is a three (3) stripe officer. NOTE: For all ISPS/MTSA and Ship Security Plan (SSP) related issues, the security officer is designated as the Deputy Ship Security Officer (DSSO).
- He/She acts as the main investigator concerning any accident/incident that may occur amongst the Guests and Crew and requires detailed investigation.
- The Security Officer shall submit required reports upon completion of the investigation (i.e., incident/accident).
- The Security Officer will develop, establish, and maintain proprietary control of investigative information or other pertinent or significant data of Guest and Crew for a minimum of two years.
- Shall be familiar with and active in the Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS), including his responsibility in the Safety Organization according to the Emergency Plan and Station Bill.
- Will maintain timely entries in the vessels security logbook and will be responsible to insure the orderly flow and control of all security related reports.
- Will countersign the Night Security Guard Log Book and investigate all incidents logged when required.
- Is responsible for training and scheduling of Security Guards assigned to the vessel.
- Will compile and distribute gangway list of authorized crew allowed off vessel in port in concert with appropriate Custom and Immigration clearance requirements worldwide.
The duties and responsibilities of the Security Officer include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking regular security inspections of the ship to ensure that appropriate security measures are maintained;
- Maintaining and supervising, the implementation of the Ship Security Plan, and monitoring, the continuing relevance and effectiveness of the Plan, including the undertaking of internal audits and any amendments to the Plan;
- Coordinating, the security aspects of the handling of cargo and ship's stores with other shipboard personnel and with the relevant Port Facility Security Officers;
- Proposing modifications to the Ship Security Plan;
- Reporting to the Company Security Officer any deficiencies and non-conformities identified during internal audits, periodic reviews, security inspections and verifications of compliance, and implementing any corrective actions;
- Enhancing security awareness and vigilance on board;
- Ensuring that adequate training has been provided to shipboard personnel, as appropriate;
- Reporting all security incidents and completing SEMS forms;
- Coordinating implementation of the Ship Security Plan with the Company Security Officer and the relevant Port Facility Security Officer;
- Ensuring that any security equipment is properly operated, tested, calibrated, and maintained.

- Countersign the Security Guard Log Book and investigate all incidents logged when required.

- Coordinate the security aspects of the handling of ship's stores with other shipboard personnel and with the relevant Port Facility Security Officers.

Our security service’s mission is to prevent security incidents and deliver a highly trained staff which will provide an immediate response to all security related issues. This team is also responsible for the access control to the ship, the screening operation at the gangways, video security monitoring, investigations, security patrols, and more.
Requirements:

SECURITY OFFICER
Description:
Responsible for day to day security operations in accordance with the ship’s security plan. Responsible for the Security Training of all crew Investigating Officer in all Acts of Crime and Security Incidents happening onboard Responsible for the maintenance of the security equipment as directed by AMOS, and ensuring that a ready supply of consumables is always available. Responsible for maintaining security records, DOS, Gangway Log Sheets, Equipment Maintenance Records, Security Patrol Log Sheets, Training Records and Visitor Records. Documents to be retained onboard for a period of 6 months.
To be fully conversant with the ISPS Code and the SSP To brief the Captain and Staff Captain of the counter measures that may be required when operating at a higher security level. To conduct a monthly table top exercise with the Bridge Team and Senior Officers which should cover but not be limited to Piracy, Anti Stow Away Procedures, Procedures for Explosive package found on the x-ray machine at the gangway. Ensure that a Bomb Search Exercise is conducted on a quarterly basis, as stated in the SSP Constantly review the SSP and SMS and onboard implementation looking for ways to improve. Forward any recommendations to the CSO via the Staff Captain.
Ensure that the MAA’s are fully trained and knowledgeable in the operation of their duties at the gangway, while on patrol and in a security emergency response operation at all 3 security levels. Ensure that any crew member that has a security duty is suitably trained and equipped to perform that duty; ie, Shell Door Sentry, Female Body Searcher etc. To Liaise with Port Authorities and establish a good working relationship with those authorities in a regular port of call. Enforce the Masters Standing Orders & Company Regulations Onboard. Be familiar with applicable safety requirements and take an active role in ensuring a high Safety Standard as outlined in SMS, CBA Code of Conduct & Masters Standing Orders.
Be familiar with the relevant MARPOL Environmental requirements and have a thorough knowledge of all company Environmental Requirements. Be familiar with the Company Code of Conduct and assist with the implementation and supervising of the same. Responsible to the Staff Captain for maintaining the ships master key issuing and record keeping, as per the SMS list of authorised master key holders.
Be familiar with company's Health & Safety, Environmental, Safety & Security Policy and the SMS 2008, and carry out the policy and procedures as appropriate to their position (Also his responsibilities in the Safety organization according to the Emergency Plan & Station Bill. Also ensuring that the MAA’s are fully conversant with the same. Other duties as required in shipboard operating routines. Assist the Hotel Dept. by opening and organizing the maintenance of safes in guest’s suit.
