Work Schedule: Will be required to work with the production lines from 11pm - 1:30am and then from 1:30am - 7am will be the normal sanitation schedule.  
Sanitation Duties: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production areas, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors and ceilings. Production Duties: This position involves packaging of meat. Employees will rotate between tasks as directed by the Production Line Supervisors. The individual is required to contribute to harmony in the workplace. Assembles boxes; places liners in boxes; stack boxes ; places bags or boxes under chute to catch meat; weights bag or box; sends bag or box down to be taped; tucks liner in box; folds flaps over and tapes it shut with tape gun; places finished boxes on pallet, utilizing proper palletizing pattern; knows and follows USDA guidelines and good manufacturing practices. 

Required Physical Activities: Standing, walking, scrubbing, climbing ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, moving on hands and knees. Will handle high pressure hoses for long periods of time, climb in and under equipment and lift up to 80 pounds frequently.

The plant engineering technician works closely with plant engineering personnel in support of improved equipment and process reliability as well as efficient and cost-effective use of plant resources. This position requires the incumbent to prioritize, plan/schedule work and organize multiple activities with minimal supervision and direction. A solid background in mechanical and electrical systems as well as training in maintenance reliability theory is crucial to the success of the plant engineering technician. The ability to learn and effectively use various software programs including AutoCAD and the company's EAMS system is required. This position develops, plans and improves the preventive maintenance tasks for equipment throughout the plant. (40%)

For example, the technician will be able to plan/schedule maintenance work tasks for Craftspeople and maintain an equipment reference library. This library includes equipment manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and other technical information required to efficiently prepare maintenance job plans.

In addition, the plant engineering technician reviews existing preventive maintenance tasks. The technician adds, improves, changes the frequency of, or deletes task instructions as needed to increase the overall effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program. The technician enters this information into the company's Enterprise Asset Management System software (EAMS). The technician utilizes equipment history from the company's EAMS, manufacturer's recommendations, and operator input when reviewing the value of existing preventive maintenance tasks.

Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to plan, install, maintain, and repair plant systems and equipment. (20%)

For example, the plant engineering technician will maintain and share expert knowledge of maintenance and operation methods for manufacturing equipment. He/she will utilize training, technical expertise, and reliability methods to troubleshoot and formulate solutions to asset and process related deficiencies. The incumbent must be capable of disassembly and reassembly of equipment in order to repair, replace, adjust, clean, lubricate and align equipment components

Trains industrial maintenance technicians on plant equipment and reliability procedures. (15%)

For example, the plant engineering technician will coach and mentor industrial maintenance technicians in the area of troubleshooting and reliability of plant assets. The plant engineering technician will be looked upon as a subject matter expert in areas of plant production equipment.

The technician will be involved with writing equipment audit reports.

Working Conditions:

Must be capable of using small hand tools. Must be able to use measurement equipment (calipers, flowmeters, etc), and advanced condition monitoring equipment (vibration analyzer, infrared camera, etc) in an industrial environment. Must have basic computer skills and be able to fully utilize our EAMS software. This position requires some physical exertion including the need to climb ladders and lift up to 25 pounds. Job requirements for production job openings are as follows.
Ability to understand and follow all safety rules and guidelines
Ability to understand and follow all food safety and quality rules and guidelines
Standing in one place on a work stand for extended periods of time (2 -- 3 hours)
Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
Ability to read digital scale readouts for weight control
Work in average temperatures of 35-45 degrees
Work with raw or precooked meats
Ability to follow direction and willingness to learn
Prior food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week with overtime as needed

The offer includes a minimum of at least $15.00/hour base pay after 90 days for general labor and higher hourly rates for other positions.
