"In a world where people are becoming more and more closed, where populism is growing and there is a lot of fear of Islam, xenophobia and a lot of anti-immigrant sentiment, Canada is taking a unique attitude," Canadian Innovation Minister Naveep Pines said at the launch ceremony.
