Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage DFA's Gold Standard Dairy program, including program development, staff training, member support resources, and continuous improvement documentation
In collaboration with DFA staff, work with customers on animal health, milk quality, nutrition, and traceability programs
Collaborate in dairy industry farm practices and measurement programs such as the Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) program and resources being developed by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy
Manage regulatory issues around animal health and milk quality
Represent DFA on various national committees, including but not limited to National Milk Producers Federation Animal Health Committee, National Mastitis Council, National Institute of Animal Health, and U.S. Animal Health Association
Monitor, evaluate, and respond to regulatory issues related to animal health, milk quality, and emergency preparedness
Develop and maintain relationships with agencies that regulate animal health, milk quality, and emergency preparedness
Provide timely communications and recommendations to senior management related to animal health and milk quality issues
Liaise to veterinary and other animal health organizations
Evaluate opportunities to support members through technical and information resources
