Kono are looking for a motivated Palletiser join her team based at our Seafood factory in Riverlands. This is a hands-on role that requires someone with a positive attitude and is able to handle some physical work!
The role:
The palletiser role is a key member of the team and you will support the team across a variety of functions within the factory.
Does your work experience include:
A Fork Lift License - not essential but an advantage
Experience in a factory environment
Working in a hygienic environment
If you have the ability to work with minimum supervision, physically fit, have an excellent eye for detail and quality, a ‘can do' attitude with outstanding verbal and written communication skills then

Seafood Mussel Factory - Packers

Kono Foods are looking for a number of Packers to join our night shift.
Shifts are as follows:
Night Shift - 3.45pm until 1.00am
Ideally, you will:
Have experience working in a factory environment
Have some packing experience
Have an exceptional eye for detail
Be able to multi-task
Have great time management
Be computer literate
This position is full-time working Monday to Friday with some Saturday work required. We do have a shutdown period around July which can vary from 6 to 12 weeks dependent on the mussel product.

Day Shift Start at 6.00am Finish 2.30pm
Night Shift Start at 3.45pm Finish Midnight.
Ideally, you will
have some experience in the Food industry (an advantage but not essential)

have some factory experience
be a good communicator

Position :
The primary function of the role is to use our machinery to extract mussel oil from mussel powder. Other key tasks and responsibilities are coordinating delivery of raw materials to or encapsulation plants, spray drying collagen when we start making that product, maintaining RMP procedures and regulations, maintaining and cleaning the factory and equipment, working with suppliers and vendors.

2IC Opening Room - Seafood Factory (Afternoon Shift)

The factory are seeking a 2IC for our Afternoon shift (2.30pm - 1.00am) to assist with manufacturing operations and to help achieve optimum production through our Mussel Opening Room department. This will be achieved through being both hands on as well as effectively leading, managing and motivating our team of production operators.
Reporting to the Team Leader, key criteria and responsibilities include:
recent experience in a successful supervisory role
a strong understanding of manufacturing and production environments
Health & Safety protocol in a factory environment
Food Hygiene standards regulations
an understanding of cleanroom processing requirements
effective planning and decision-making skills
experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
the ability to work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
strong communication and relationship management skills
a high level of initiative with a proactive approach to management and health and safety
a willingness to be hands on, and physically fit
The successful applicant will have the ability and aptitude to work alongside both his or her fellow production staff and to lead by example, in a busy work environment where adherence to procedures and SOP requirements are essential. This is a challenging but rewarding role in a dynamic and fast-growing company.
Experience in a supervisory or management role within an industrial food processing environment or a related industry, and good spoken and written English and communication skills is strongly desirable.
