Study expenses: to be paid directly from the Swedish Institute to the Swedish University

Providing a platform for professional development and building your own network of relationships in Sweden
Membership in the alumni network of the Swedish Institute after the end of the grant period, which is a platform for continued communication and professional development in the future .
The travel grant is paid once during the full study period. This scholarship does not include students residing in Sweden.
Time & period of the specified scholarship
The scholarship is for one-year or two-year full-time Master's program, and is granted only for academic programs beginning in the fall semester.
The scholarship is available for one academic year (two semesters) at a time and will be extended for programs that require a period of time longer than two semesters, to demonstrate that the student (s) have passed the subjects' exams.
It is not possible to change or extend the period of the specified scholarship, or change the study program for a different Master's program than previously granted.
Qualifications :
The Swedish Institute's Global Professional Scholarship Program is part of the Swedish International Government Prize Plan which aims to develop future leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The scholarship is funded by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is managed by the Swedish Institute. The program provides a unique opportunity for academics with professional experience to develop professionally and academically, get to know Swedish society and its culture, and build a long-term relationship between them.
The goal is to enable grantees to play a positive role and contribute to the development of the community in which they live. Typical candidates are ambitious academics with academic qualifications, and proven professional and leadership experience. In addition to being ambitious and willing to make a difference by working on issues that contribute to a just and sustainable development in their country in the long term, and with a clear vision of how the course in Sweden contributes to their country.
Priority is given to applicants with relevant professional background and proven leadership experience.
