WSI processes several species of seafood including Pollock, Crab, Pacific Cod, Halibut and Sablefish. Production employees process raw product that is delivered from fishing vessels to sell to customers. Processors can be assigned to various positions within the production department including, but not limited to, butchering, sorting, filleting, and case-up. Processors are also required to participate in plant clean-up, and other duties as assigned.

This position requires the candidate have the ability to perform the physical requirements including; standing in place for long periods of time; repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs and back; regularly lift and move 50 lbs; frequent rotations and twisting at waist; frequent climbing and descending of stairs; working long hours in cold/wet environments (12+ hours per day, 7 days a week); and prompt and regular attendance.

Supervises the production crew to ensure excellence and efficiency of processing commercial and custom products. Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Responsible for production, packaging and warehouse operations and workforce. Analyze and streamline the production processes.
Ensure production goals are met and exceeded.
Ensure Occupational Health and Safety Act, HAACP, and Trapper’s Creek Corporate policies compliance. Promote and administer Food Safety compliance, FDA Compliance, SSOP, GMP and HAACP paperwork maintenance and proper filing. Champion goals and objectives around Food Safety Compliance to decrease liability on a continual basis.
Train and promote safe work practices and use observations and employee evaluations to check on employees work habits. Use the company’s disciplinary policy to enforce safe work practices.
Responsible for scheduling, training and support for the production crew.
Responsible for controlling production costs and managing inventory of our products, production and boxing supplies. Demonstrate an expert working knowledge of the inventory.
