Your responsibilities

• Perform daily local pick-ups and drop-offs
• Be flexible with shift start times 
• Ensure safe use of equipment
• Participate in training and coaching when required
• Perform hand bombing when required

Job Description

Driving truck and trailer units to various locations across North America starting and ending in Surrey, BC

 • Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo
Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes and cold storage, perform emergency roadside repairs
•  Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
 • Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book.
 • Communicate with Dispatcher, CBSA officers& who so ever is involved.
 • May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
 • May transport hazardous products or dangerous good

Requirements:

• Class-I Driver’s license

JOB DUTIES
• Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of pre trip paperwork
• Deliver order via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
