Carnival Australia is part of the Carnival Corporation, the world's leading cruise holiday company, representing iconic brands including P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Seabourn.

 The Port Agent is responsible for the provision of an efficient, timely and cost effective port agency service in Sydney for all Carnival Group vessels. This includes facilitating paperwork, customs, quarantine, immigration requirements and approvals on the arrival and departure of the ship in port.

Specific responsibilities include:
Assisting the Port Agency Manager with all ship husbandry requirements for Carnival Group vessels calling into Sydney
Booking the vessel in and out of port, arranging pilot, tugs and other port services

Canada Immigration and Visa Jobs

Preparing quarantine pre-arrival report and the provision of crew and passenger information to the department of immigration
Overseeing all crew movements for non-P&O Australia vessels, including arranging crew hotels and transfers
Processing all invoices, and providing the Sydney Port Agency Supervisor with detailed budgets, forecasts and reports
Arranging logistics involved with the supply of provisions and fuel
Attending vessels as required when in port and ensuring the completion of berthing documentation, clearance and the sailing of all Carnival Group vessels
Managing relationships with Sydney service providers (tug operators, pilots, stevedores) and government authorities (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, Department of Transport, Australian Maritime Safety)
Liaising with all internal stakeholders involved in ship operations to ensure efficient port calls

We seek applications from people with at least 2+ years experience in a Project Coordination, Port Management or Ship/Fleet Operations and Logistics role who demonstrate:
Strong general administration skills, including intermediate MS Office (Word and Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high attention to detail
Proven relationship building, influencing and stakeholder management skills
The ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and make decisions
Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines
A team orientation, with a flexible ‘can do' attitude
The ability to work flexible hours and travel to Sydney ports frequently
