German city looking for immigrants to live in

German city looking for refugees and giving them homes to live! !

It is the city of Goslar, one of the most beautiful historic cities in Germany, which UNESCO has designated as a world heritage city for its wooden houses, dating back to the 16th century.

The small town, 70 km from Hanfur, has a strange population disease with a population of just 4,000, down from 10 thousand 10 years ago, due to the migration of many of its residents to live and work in major cities where it closed down. Most of its schools even became city houses without residents.

This demographic problem prompted Gönk, the mayor of Goslar, to propose a solution that would search for immigrants and refugees to live in this quiet city in return for housing provided by the city's municipality as a concession and other privileges. But this solution clashes with the "containment quota", a system for the resettlement of immigrants, where the German government requires the largest cities to accommodate the largest number of immigrants and vice versa for smaller cities.

The latest statistics indicate that the number of immigrants and refugees in Germany rose to 300 thousand in 2016,

After the gradual emigration of its inhabitants, especially those under 50, and their migration to the big cities, the city of Goslar became a municipality for the elderly and, fearing that it would become a small, desolate village, its president Junek wanted to attract the inhabitants of other cities, Germany, in addition to migrants and refugees from outside, providing them with accommodation, by giving them houses in which they live.

Most of these houses have been demolished because they have become dilapidated, bringing the population to 4.000, up from 50,000 just 10 years ago, which has led to the closure of many of its schools. Despite the beauty of this city, it has been classified by the UNESCO as a world heritage for the preservation of its timber-framed houses, more than half of which date back to the 16th century. Goslar is a historic city in the state of Lower Saxony that comes after Bavaria as the second largest state in Germany.
