Some professions in Germany are understaffed, jobs are badly needed.
The list of staff shortages is being updated and disseminated by BMAS and the Federal Employment Agency (ZAV).
The list consists of both competencies and competencies, which are sometimes easier to reach by first enrolling in vocational training in Germany. The benefits of qualifying a job with a shortage of employees is that the employer does not need to wait for the labor market test for residents before giving you a job offer, but you still have to apply for a work permit in Germany.
Businesses that lack staff are divided into four different levels:
Assistant - vocational training is not required, only required is the training of a specialist for one year;
Specialist - related to activities requiring specialization that require at least two years of training or equivalent qualification;
Professional - professions whose practice requires special knowledge and skills that usually require the training of a trade teacher, technical training or the equivalent of technical colleges or university degrees;
Expert - At least 4 years of higher education or equivalent qualifications.
