Fish Farm Worker

Summary
Responsible for fish rearing and general farm grounds maintenance and upkeep. Will assist with various projects as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times
Perform fish rearing duty such as weighing fish feed, feeding fish, cleaning rearing vessels, loading and unloading fish truck, and moving fish
Perform general labor tasks, as assigned
Assist with hatchery organization and clean up as directed
Assist with building projects as assigned
Operate various farm equipment including forklifts, lawn mower, pump, blower feeder etc.
Maintain workplace safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines
Maintain and proper use of all company machinery, tools, and equipment
Provide back up support for other duties as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A. Education and Experience
Required:
High school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of six months related experience
Canada Immigration and Visa Jobs
Experience with the safe operation of fork lifts and other heavy equipmentPreferred:
Previous hatchery experience or coursework in Natural Resources/Biological Sciences
Previous mechanical experience
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Driver’s License
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to work independently

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and farm boat
