What years of experience are required?

11. A comprehensive medical examination documented by a hospital approved by the Canadian authorities (requested in the final stages).
12. Certificate from the bank in an amount determined according to the number of family members of the immigrant family (required in the last stages)

To determine your level of English, you must obtain a certificate of placement test recognized in Canada, such as IELTS from the British Council from your nearest branch is recognized for your English proficiency or French, or both, via a placement testimony from authorities recognized by the Canadian immigration authorities, such as the official French cultural center. The TEF test is designed for any non-French speaking foreigner and does not require any specific qualification or preparation.

What does the test include?

3 compulsory tests
Reading comprehension (60 minutes)
Listening and Understanding (40 minutes)
Linguistic Compositions and Vocabulary (30 minutes)
Total time: 2 hours 30 minutes *
Two optional tests

Speaking (35 minutes)

 *Compulsory tests:
There are a total of 150 questions: 50 questions for reading and comprehension, 60 questions for listening and understanding, 40 on vocabulary and language combinations.
In each part of the test, the questions are graded in difficulty.
Questions with multiple choice answers (4 answers for choice). There is of course one correct answer.
For each test, the examiner must write the answers on their assigned brochure, which is corrected after that by CCIP (answer sheet corrected by computer).

 *Optional tests:
The examiner may choose to solve one of the two tests, or both at the same time, within one year after the compulsory tests.

• Expression: The first part consists of writing a story using story writing using past form.
The second part consists of defending a point of view.

How is the immigration application evaluated for the Federal Classification of Skilled Workers in a Point System?

 * Point evaluation elements:

01 Education (max = 25 points)
1. Master's degree or doctorate degree with a minimum of 17 years of study or equivalent = 25
2. Two or more university degrees with a Bachelor's degree with a study of no less than 15 years or the equivalent = 22
3. Three-year diploma certificate, commercial or professional certificate with full-time study of not less than 15 years or its equivalent = 22
4. University degree for two years or more at the level of Bachelor with a minimum of 14 years of study or its equivalent = 20
5. Two-year diploma certificate, commercial or professional certificate with study of at least 14 years or equivalent = 20
6. University degree for one year at the level of Bachelor with a study of no less than 13 years or its equivalent = 15
7. One-year diploma, commercial or professional certificate with study of at least 12 years or equivalent = 15
8. A university degree for a period of one year at the level of Bachelor with a study of no less than 13 years or its equivalent = 12
9. Secondary certificate = 5

02 Languages   (English and French) (maximum points for both of them = 24 points)

First official language (max = 16 points)

1. Proficiency - for each ability: listening = 4, reading = 4, writing = 4, conversation = 4.
2. Intermediate proficiency - for each ability: listening = 2, reading = 2, writing = 2, speaking = 2.
3. Basic - for each ability: listening = 1, reading = 1, writing = 1, conversation = 1.
4. Below the baseline minimum = zero

Second official language (max = 8 points)
1. Proficiency - for each ability: listening = 2, reading = 2, writing = 2, speaking = 2.
2. Intermediate and basic proficiency - for each ability: listening = 1, reading = 1, writing = 1, conversation = 1.
3. Below the baseline minimum = zero
4. Experience (max = 16 points)

1. One year = 15
2. Two years = 17
3. Three years = 19
4. Four years = 21

4. Age (max = 10 points)
 -1. Persons with 21-49 old at the time of application = 10
 -2. Two points less than each year over 49 or less than 21

5. Employment contract in Canada (max = 10 points)
 -1. A permanent contract of employment certified by the Canadian Ministry of Human Resources = 10
 -2. A temporary work permit certified by the Canadian Ministry of Human Resources = 10

6. Adaptation (max = 10 points)

Academic qualifications for a wife, husband or legal partner:

1. General secondary or equivalent or less = zero
2. University degree and study that lasted at least 12 years = 3
3. University degree and study that lasted at least 14 years = 4
4. A master's or doctorate degree and a study that lasted at least 17 years = 5
5. Work permitted in Canada for a period of no less than one year = 5
6. Systemic study prior to high school not less than two years in Canada = 5
7. Work contract in Canada = 5
8. Family in Canada = 5
