The German economy is about to face fundamental transformations due to demographic change and digitization in addition to the rules aimed at protecting the climate, stressing at the same time that "the success of overcoming these challenges depends largely on the extent of Germany's success in securing its future base of skilled workers."


It also showed that even if domestic skilled workers increase in Germany, the demographic shift without further emigration will lead to a "sharp decline in the potential of skilled workers," explaining that emigration from the European Union countries to Germany is also expected to decline.

For her part, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated before that ways to activate the new specialized labor migration law will be discussed quickly.


It should be noted that economic associations have long complained in Germany of a shortage of skilled workers in specific sectors.


It is scheduled that the government of Germany will hold a summit with the states, economic circles and labor unions in the Chancellery of Berlin in the next Monday, to discuss attracting specialized workers from abroad, and it is expected that the law will enter into force on the first of March of the year 2020, to pave the way for qualified workers From outside the European Union to come to Germany.
