Automation Controls Engineer (PLC, HMI, SCADA programmer / automation designer)

Our well-established Engineering Firm / Systems Integrator; has an immediate opportunity for an Automation Specialist to support the designing, programming and commissioning of automation projects for their Fortune 500 customers. The position offers excellent long term career advancement potential and salary compensation. The opportunity requires experience designing and programming complex automation solutions using the family of Rockwell Automation software / hardware products. Complete solutions include PLC’s, HMI’s, VFDs, Machine Safety and SCADA systems in the Packaging, Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage, Industries.
Here is how you will contribute:
▶ Design, program and commission PLC, HMI and SCADA automation solutions
▶ Liaisons with customers / team members to develop control philosophies
▶ Perform FAT/SAT Factory and Software Acceptance Tests
▶ Travel locally to perform on-site commissioning and testing of automation solutions
Previous experience / skills:
▶ 5 years plus experience programming or designing PLC, HMI or SCADA solutions
▶ High profile Material Handling, Pharmaceutical or Process Control project experience
▶ Engineering or Technical degree in automation
▶ Strong automation, electrical and mechanical aptitude
▶ Customer service focus and sense of urgency
▶ Demonstrated proficiency using software and hardware for Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
▶ Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
▶ Ability and willing to travel as required
