ABOUT OUR OPERATION
Over the next five years, Agnico Eagle will hire over 600 people across our Nunavut mining operations to help us bring two new sites into production. Meliadine is now under construction and is expected to begin operating in late 2019. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. The site will feature a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex. We expect to operate Meliadine for at least 14 years and we will need to hire over 900 people to help us mine this rich new deposit.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance General Supervisor, the Process Plant Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the maintenance team and works in close collaboration with the members of the process plant and other departments of the division. The incumbent ensures the proper maintenance activities, start up and shut down practices of the team, as well as playing an important role in the follow-up, troubleshooting and plan maintenance activity. The Process Plant Maintenance Supervisor ensures compliance with procedures that are specific to the maintenance and ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, health and safety code of conduct and the environment.

Manage daily activities of team (work cards, work schedule/vacations, timesheet approval, candidate selection, new employee onboarding, maintaining employees’ files, disciplinary files/recovery plans, organizing training to ensure it is followed as per company’s policies and procedures);
Plan the work to be done during the shutdown, by reviewing and approving the procedures content and ensuring that procedures are followed by immediate employees;
Review key performance indicators (KPI’s), deciding on corrective measures to be taken and communicating these to the team;
Schedule the optimization process according to the process control plan;
Analyze the needs in terms of procurement and ordering the materials;
Apply the principles and practices of the Supervision Formula;
Apply and review the best maintenance practices in the day to day job;
Ensure proper transfer of information with the cross shift.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
College technical diploma, a Millwright certification or equivalent;
5-10 years of experience in a mining process plant;
Interprovincial Red Seal certification is an asset;
Proven leadership/supervisory experience is required;
Experience working in a multicultural environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety and Environmental Performance
Provide leadership in safety and environmental stewardship by demonstrating and ensuring the adherence of Company safety and sustainability processes and procedures.
Financial Performance

Support the establishment and ongoing improvement of production phase metrics;
Review metrics and utilize these to improve efficiency;
Control inventory (i.e. blasting products and culverts); and

Operations

Safe and efficient road construction plans;
Coordination and optimization of maintenance activities;
Ensuring Company road building and maintenance specifications are adhered to;
Coordinate activities with other phases to maximize value recovery opportunities (i.e. landing location, handling logs);
Responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted within the standards of the Environmental Management System; and
Work in partnership with the General Foreman and other Production Supervisors to ensure efficient fibre flow.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
5 - 7 years of experience in Forestry Operations in increasingly responsible roles;
High School diploma or higher; and
Knowledge of blasting operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.
Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports, accurately monitor material ledgers and progress of work.
Co-ordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required by the contract.
Manage sequencing of installation contractors and ensure all appropriate permits and approvals are in place
Assist Project Manager by enforcing quality control, expediting subcontractors, evaluation and solution of potential field problems and supervising craft employees.
Continually update drawings with changes as issued by Consultants.
Continually find solutions to conflicting information on drawings and in specification. Co-ordinate these solutions with the various sub-trades.
Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract and ensure information is communicated to the team.

Support the handover process and associated documentation to the Testing and Commissioning Team.
Qualifications

Relevant Experience Supervising the installation of Signalling Interlocking's including CBTC installation requirements would be beneficial

A minimum of 5-10 years road/transit construction experience including completion, commissioning, and installation.
Computer skills are required. You must have the ability to read blueprints and develop As-builds.
Experience in a design-build environment would be preferred
You assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others in a professional manner using effective oral and written communication skills.

Support loadout operations by opening/closing railcar lids as needed to cover absences of loadout operators
