UNICEF seeks a Fundraiser (Individual Contractor) to work with the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) teams in the UNICEF Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Office (LACRO) and the Country Offices in the region to support the growth of fundraising income through the channel of Telethons/TV show fundraising. 
The Fundraiser will be supporting multiple markets in developing UNICEF's Telethons/TV Shows donor recruitment programs in the LAC region and explore also the possibility of Multi Countries/Regional Telethons. 
Pledge (Regular Giving) will be the priority but cash (one-off donations) and two steps (lead/SMS and conversion) will be part of the remit. The incumbent is to provide technical and strategic expertise and guidance to set up this channel in more Country Offices in the Region. 
The Fundraiser, Telethons/TV Shows will work closely with the fundraising and communication teams in the Regional Office, Geneva Office and across relevant PFP country offices in the LAC region to build Telethons/TV Shows capacity, mapping the opportunities and help offices grow income and engagement through this channel. 
Integration with Digital and other channels will be also part of the remit. There are nine (9) PFP country offices, two (2) of them have already a successful Telethon in place and others are interested in developing broadcasting as part of the acquisition channel mix. 
The role of the incumbent will be to help with the mapping, strategy and implementation of the Telethons/TV Shows channel in the LAC region, more specifically: 
1)To map the full potential of Telethons/TV Shows/Web-based events in the Region 
2)To map broadcast TV channels, TV formats and producers in the Region 
3)To advice and put together a set of TV formats examples for fundraising purposes (regular donor recruitment).
