Sanimax Krums inc.is looking for a Feed Mill Operator/General Labourer to join our team in Elmira!
The job includes:
The unloading of packaged products via fork lift;
The unloading of roll off containers and bulk transport trailers;
Shunting of Trucks and Trailers within the Sanimax Krums Yard;
The inspection of incoming bakery raw materials;
The blending, grinding, screening, and loading of finished product;
The continuous monitoring of bakery processing equipment and panels;
Manual depackaging of products;
Assist with equipment maintenance as required;
Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently;
Adhere to Sanimax Krums quality assurance program regarding ingredient receiving, processing, and load out;
Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during shift;
Maintain accurate production and receiving records, entering data into Excel spreadsheet;
Load and unload finished feed product efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality;
Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products;
Determine proper routing and distribution for manufactured feeds to appropriate holding bins and trailers;
Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed;
Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner;
Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures, adhere to all safety requirements;
Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, and customers;
Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned;
Starting pay rate at $19/hour + benefits and overtime available.

From 3pm to 2am (average)
Experience required:
Experience of 1-3 years as an Operator in an industrial environment;
Fork-lift experience;
Feed Mill Mixing Operations Experience (an Asset);
Tandem Axel Truck Yard Shunting (an Asset).

The job site is located east of Hwy 63, Km 42 on Canterra Road in the Fort McMurray, AB area, which is the point of hiring. Transportation from Fort McMurray, AB to the job site is provided.
Reporting to site Construction Manager, Laborer will work on a remote camp installation and dismantling of transportable industrial accommodations and other types of factory built, modular structures. Laborer will operate machinery, equipment, provide material handling services and assist building trades in camp construction and demolition. The incumbent must follow applicable building codes focusing on safety, quality and accuracy of work. Worker must be able to travel to the job site, work in the remote locations and camp settings and be flexible and adaptable to changing roles within the function. This is a permanent, full-time, hourly position.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload construction materials, including moving materials to work location
Operate loading equipment and machinery, such as skid steer, wheeled loader, forklift, etc.
Set up and safely operate woodworking equipment
Assist with framing of floors, walls, roofs, conduct exterior and interior finishing
Assist with fitting and installation of doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding and ceiling tiles
Trim and sand joints, molding or other wooden parts to be assembled using hand and power tools
Assist with assembly of wood and metal products such as metal siding, window sashes, doors, doorjambs, boxes, and pallets using screws, bolts, staples, glue or other fasteners
Paint as directed by site Foreman
Conduct daily inspection of machinery if necessary
Assist tradespersons such as Carpenters and other trades in construction activities
Assist in demolishing buildings using tools. Sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Clean finished units
Perform site cleaning, snow removal and landscaping projects
Provide general site cleanup as directed by the site Foreman
Perform other activities at construction sites as directed
Follow all company, job and client-specific safety protocols and OH&S legislation.
Competency Requirements:
Completion of high school is required
Minimum 5 years of directly related laborer experience in residential, commercial and light industrial construction and renovation
Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean 5-year driving abstract
Specialized knowledge, experience and current tickets for operation of equipment such as skid steer, wheeled loader and forklift
Must have the following certificates, such as Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space/Monitoring (OSSA), Elevated Work Platform, and Standard First Aid with CPR
Ability to work physically and regularly lift up to 50 lb.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Attention to details, accuracy and strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time to meet required project deadlines
Ability to interact co-operatively and professionally with customers and co-workers
