About the job
A few important things you should know if you're looking to apply for the job:
1. It's a job for two people, who need to apply together. The keepers are usually a couple, as the living quarters are small, and you'll be spending a lot of time around each other for the next couple of years!
2. It is a non-negotiable requirement that one of the two people applying MUST have a U.S. Coast Guard-issued captain's license. If you do not have a license, you cannot legally ferry passengers to and from the island.
3. It's an absolutely fantastic job.
4. Yes, you really do need to have a captain's license, even if you are the best un-licensed boat handler in the world.
