Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) has a long history dating back to 1887. Today the Institute is one of the largest in Ireland, representing 10% of all higher education students in the country. DIT has 20,000 students registered with it and a staff of around 2,500 members. Over 800 of its student and staff researchers are engaged in addressing present day challenges. Dublin Institute of Technology is home to more than 1,000 international students representing various countries across the globe.

If you have studied abroad, or are applying from another EU country, you will need to provide clear, legible, colour, scanned images of the following document originals:


If English is not your first language, a recognised certificate of English Language Competency


Official academic transcripts showing all subjects taken and examination results obtained for each year of study, and the final award grade – Please note that these must be original language documents.  If available, please also provide a grading system guide from your awarding higher education institution.

Certified English translations of transcripts, examination results and award cert/s where original documents are not in English.
A scanned image of the photo page of your passport

the above documents must be scanned originals and must bear the appropriate official signature and the seal/stamp of the institution that issued it.

your previous DIT student number if applicable.
