The Employment Act of Malaysia defines workweeks of 48 hours, with a maximum of 8 hours work per day and 6 days of work per week. There are special restrictions in the industrial or agricultural sector, where they are not allowed to work between 10 pm and 5 am. the Malaysian workers are eligible for employment time complete at the age of 14 years. However, there are certain protective regulations covering adolescents aged 14 to 16 years. Labor law in this case differs slightly in peninsular Malaysia of Sabah and Sarawak. Are allowed to work for children under 14 years , but only six hours per day in areas of very limited work. The normal office hours in Malaysia is 9 hours to 17 hours from Monday to Friday, and many businesses and government agencies are also open noon and Saturdays.
Labor Malaysian law sets a minimum of 10 days paid vacation per year. This is not much, however, not many countries with so many religious holidays as Malaysia. Due to the different cultures and religions living in Malaysia, not only are Muslim holidays, but also days of Buddhist, Hindu and Christian holiday.
