Painting is a creative work carried out by workers that includes several branches, starting from painting on the wall, windows and doors.... to design etc.
Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting. Cleans and smoothes surfaces if necessary prior to painting; paints surfaces with brushes, spray gun or paint rollers; applies paint with cloth, brush, sponge or fingers to create special effects; may paint items by hand as required.
Mixes paints and solutions, regulates temperatures, and moves painted items to drying racks.
Finishes coated surfaces by baking in an oven and/or polishing with sandpaper, pumice, rouge, wax, or other finishing materials.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Protects nearby surfaces during painting as appropriate.
May assist in orienting and training lower level employees.
Performs other related duties as required.
Supervision recevied
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Job Complexity
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least three years related experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
