Several hotels and restaurants in Australia are looking for casual Kitchen Steward, kitchen helper, kitchen hand, cabinet maker, floor staff to join their hardworking team. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning and other duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery. You will also:
Operate and use the dish washing machine
Be responsible for the general pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of the pantry, fridges and freezers.
Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitized clean and dry operational equipment
Count, sort and prepare operating equipment.
Ensure all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware is hygienically and safely stored.
Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.
Contribute to cost control through energy conservation and the careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances
Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.
